It wasn’t too long ago when I first started seeing the wispy palm leaves poking through the cracks of the sidewalk in front of the Chevron station by my apartment. Now it has grown into a real, live palm tree. I have to duck when I walk past it. I’m curious how long the Chevron guys will let it stay there. It is a bit of an inconvenience, but I like it. That palm tree has become a part of the neighborhood, for better or for worse. In my humble opinion, anything living and green in such an urban area as K-Town is always a good thing.
