This Saturday, seven of LA’s historic Broadway theaters were open to the public for Night on Broadway as a celebration of the Bringing Back Broadway Initiative. Some of these theaters haven’t been open to the public for years, so it was quite a treat to see them. Performances included live music, carnival acts, burlesque dancers and more. The street festival included food trucks, a classic car show, street artists and more.
I had a great time at this event. I am a bit of an architecture nerd and I love the classic art deco style, so I couldn’t wait to see some of these theaters. As I mentioned in my previous blog leading up to the event, I’m really thrilled about the progress being made to Broadway. I loved the idea of having a street fair to celebrate the revitalization efforts.
Check out my photos of the event below!
