There are few things in this world that give me joy so great as bike ride to the hidden corners of the city. And beer. Beer gives me great joy too. This Sunday, the Los Angeles Explorers Club has partnered with New Belgium Brewery and bike advocacy nonprofit C.I.C.L.E. for their inaugural bike ride through DTLA called The Dawn of Downtown.

The ten-mile ride through downtown will take riders to those places you see in the city that make you wonder how it got there. The guest curators will give you the story behind these treasures of our city where it was born.

The ride meets up at Artisan House, located at 600 S. Main St., at 3:00 and ends at Villain’s Tavern (love their whiskey drinks!) at 1356 Palmetto St. Tickets are $10 and include two free beers and ride swag.

Tickets for the ride are sold out, but the website says there may possibly be some available the day of the event at the meet-up location. Tickets are still available for next month’s ride in Hollywood, which will be curated by Esotouric. I’m pretty stoked about that. Their tours are so fun and interesting, and you learn some really cool things about the city.
