2014 Year in Review for LA’s Car-Free Commuter
Hello dear readers! I’ve been on a brief break for the holidays, but I’m back! I was in Milwaukee for a week over Christmas and received quite the surprise to see temperatures some days were warmer there than in Los Angeles. I’m glad to be back in LA-LA Land and ready for more Metro adventures in […]
CicLAVia as Seen Through My Eyes: South LA, 12/7/2014
Sunday afternoon was CicLAvia, the event where streets are closed to vehicle traffic as a celebration for bikes, skateboards, and non-motorized vehicles. Sunday was the first time the event was thrown in South LA. I did the ride with my friends, Skippy and Samantha, and we had a blast! We met up at my place […]

Halloween and Dia de los Muertos Weekend: Part Three
Happy Friday, dear readers! We made it through the week, and if you’re anything like me you’re kicking off your weekend by eating a personal sized pizza on the couch (don’t judge me). After all the fun last weekend with Halloween and Dia de los Muertos celebrations, I’m ready to keep this weekend low key. […]
Halloween and Dia de los Muertos Weekend: Part Two
Last Saturday, I attended La Cita’s Dia de los Muertos party, art show, and birthday celebration of my friend, Alicia. What a great time! Local artists were on hand painting faces, as well as showing off their creations. The crowd was great, and fun times had by all. Check out the good times we had.
